Tasklio

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2025

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Tasklio collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service. We are committed to protecting your family's privacy. Tasklio is free to use — we do not collect payment information of any kind.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: Email address and encrypted password (via Supabase Auth)
  • App data: Children's names, chore lists, points, rewards, and allowance balances
  • Usage data: Anonymised request logs for rate limiting (retained up to 30 days)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Tasklio service
  • To send transactional emails (PIN reset, contact replies)
  • To prevent abuse and ensure service security

4. Children's Privacy

Tasklio is a family service operated by parents. Child profiles (names, avatars, chore data) are created and controlled by the parent account holder. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Children access the app using a parent-generated code and PIN — no email address or personal details required.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. PINs are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA256 with a unique salt. We use HTTPS for all connections.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Resend — transactional email

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Account deletion permanently removes all personal data, children's profiles, chores, rewards, and authentication credentials. See our Account Deletion page for details.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, use the Settings page in the app or contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notice.

10. Contact
